Is There a Connection Between Julia Child's Politics and Her Kitchen?
It was Nora Ephron’s film Julie & Julia (2009) that really introduced me to Julia Child and her tome of French cuisine Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Ephron depicts Child as a dominating but charming figure, who is firmly set in her opinions but also curious and open to learning new things. The reason she even attended Le Cordon Bleu while living in Paris with her husband Paul was so she could relish in her love of French food and teach Americans to do the same. And even though Simone Beck, one of the co-authors of Mastering the Art of French Cooking, points out in the film that a degree really isn’t required to teach cooking classes, Julia is adamant about doing things “properly.”

Prince Edward the unsung Royal without scandal
Prince Charles and Princess Diana had a troubled marriage that ended in divorce and later her untimely death. Prince Andrew made headlines with soft porn star Koo Stark and now is involved with the Jeffrey Epstein debacle. Prince William is in the spotlight as the man who would be king and Prince Harry is causing a stir because of his wife and their move to America. One Royal, however, is showing himself to be doing things in a different manner and all the while keeping a low profile. Prince Edward the Earl of Wessex and his wife Sofie Rhys Jones met in 1994 and the couple married on June 19, 1999.

Commentary: The Birthday Party is an American Tragedy
When Kayne West stated that he was going to run for President in 2020 in a cryptic tweet, I thought that it was just another publicity stunt. Still, I diligently analysed every word, combing through for any hint about his policy platform. ‘[T]rusting God’? Perhaps he’s running on a religious fundamentalist platform. ‘[U]nifying our vision’? Proposing an end to the bi-partisan system, perhaps. ‘[B]uilding our future’? The usual buzzwords around education, or is Ye considering trying to cause a tech industry boom? Or perhaps it’s an allusion to environmentalism, aiming to plant more trees.

LeBron James Confessed to Being in a Struggle when Nationally-Ranked Lawyer Asked him to Help in a Fight
Time stood still in the Nation's Capital where it usually does, twice a day. A sediment of Saharan dust dribbled all over the sidewalks. Statues were being taken down in the background to reduce some type of tendency of our's to turn back. Short moments at polling stations were always worth it when you knew who would win. Downtown, definitely, looked different these days and, if that means it's a result of an unusual amount of urban renewal, then they sort of should've built more polling-stations - you know, like phonebooths everywhere. Or, just let hipsters vote from their highrise.

Honorary Monarch
There was universal shock at the news that HRH The Prince of Wales had tested positive for Coronavirus, forcing the Heir Apparent into self-isolation. With the diagnosis came the stark reality that both the Queen and her Heir were unable to physically lead the country through the greatest pandemic its ever faced. And whilst Her Majesty is scheduled to record an address to the Nation – only the fourth time in her long reign – her founding sentiments of duty and leadership must now skip a generation, landing on the shoulders of her grandson and second-in-line to the Throne, Prince William.
