In the dark
In the dark when we are in our mother's womb for 9 gloomy months, we are in utter darkness. We cannot see, talk , crawl or walk, but unbeknown to us ,we are developing in the dark. We are provided with vital nourishment, food and beverage and most importantly ,we are provided with the essential life support pre natal vitamins. Eventually we are released from this gloomy cozy pouch that we call home, at a set appointed time, welcomed into the world , where we were meet the indescribable light that we were never exposed to or accustomed to , while we were temporary residents in the belly of a dim comfort zone.

Urge
Doggone it! I need to write a sonnet that impresses my teacher to no end. She’d rather I reflect upon it instead of partying all night with friends. But I want to live life to the fullest and dance like there isn’t a tomorrow. I want to dress in all of my finest and find another poem to borrow. Yet, I’m to pretend that I am Shakespeare and pen an ode to my undying love. But I would rather drink this ice cold beer than write of twinkling stars high above. So, as I’m at a loss for words to write I’ll compose a sonnet tomorrow night.

Kingdom of Heart
Mind’s racing. Thoughts of wanting & reassurance. My heart so sure now so unsure. I’m reminded the reality of what is. Not feeling like the rest but unable to fall in line. Cant break free but afraid it leads to loneliness. Given a taste of what it really feels like. Don’t want to give it away, don’t want to mess things up. Stopped from going all the way but unaware of me going too far.

The Hollow Men By T.S Elliot
“That is the way the world ends/ not with a bang but with a whimper.” This is the ending of T.S Elliot’s poem, The Hollow Men. It’s funny. This poem only goes out with a whimper in the very literal sense that it is what’s written on the page. This poem goes out with a bang because of the feelings of overwhelming sadness it leaves behind, and that is what makes this line all the more depressing. It is the world that is going out with a whimper, a small sound of complaint not to be remembered or given any credence, and you realize that the world will go out like this because you will go out like this.
