Internet Addiction- The new Digital Drug
Some health practitioners have compared internet addiction to the same high that’s experienced by cocaine users after a hit. Yes it’s that serious. Nowadays, it’s not uncommon to see someone glued to their phone in public places such as bus stop, and even in public transport. The internet and in particular social media has made many people slaves to their mobile phones. The problem is so bad that some people find it difficult to go for a few minutes without looking at their notifications or keeping up with the latest stories making rounds on the internet.

Unpopular Opinion: Being Busy Isn't Something To Be Proud Of
It’s 2020 and we all have our own goals, dreams and things we wish to achieve, and of course, big dreams require hard work. However, when we start to view “being busy” as a part of who we are and how we identify ourselves, we’re losing sight of the big picture.

MAN!!!
Recently, I discovered something about myself. I can't stick to walls like Spiderman. I can't fly like Superman. I don't even live in a cave like Batman. I have a huge weakness. It is my Kryptonite. I don't think that any other man has this quality. It is not a super strength. It is a super weakness.

Science Says Reading Can Improve Your Health
"Let us read, and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world." ― Voltaire Reading is often elevated as a way for people to defend their knowledge, sound smart, or seem like important people. There are a lot of articles out there about how reading one million books a year will change your life. I'm exaggerating here, but you've also seen those articles.

Getting Cryo Cold
Cryotherapy is becoming a familiar term with whole-body cryotherapy locations beginning to bloom on every block of major cities. I first became interested in cryotherapy based on reviews of the therapy, especially being someone interested in trying new things, so I signed the waiver online and booked my appointment. I can barely remember my first experience but felt like a “fish out of water” given the natural flow of everyone else in the studio. When my three minutes started, I stepped in a vertical, cylinder- shaped tank where I was lifted higher into the place where I handed over my robe and was face to face with the tech. I understood the need for a watchful eye but did not understand why the tech needed to be standing on a stool face to face with me, asking questions the entire time. I left feeling somewhat invigorated but also that I had missed out on the experience due to the chit-chatting with a stranger about my day that had barely begun while they were face to face with me, naked. I was left with no desire to return.

New Year, New Changes
2020 has finally arrived and I've decided to make a few changes in my life, for the sake of my mental health and well-being. A couple of days before Christmas last year, I've had a huge mental breakdown online. In my posts, I was talking about how I was always lonely around the holidays and didn't have anyone to spend them with. So I took three days off social media to calm my mind by doing my perler bead art and listening to music. It was the best three days I've ever spent doing. If you have been following me on social media or been reading my stories on Vocal for a period of time, the holidays are always a rough and depressing time for me. What's the whole point of celebrating something if you're always alone? I feel like most holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, are too commercialized and makes people feel guilty to purchase gifts for others. I don't celebrate Valentine's Day either, because it's just a day to shame people who are single. I've decided to make a few changes in my life in order to have a less stressful life.
