The Spirits of Kiyotaki Tunnel: A Journey Into Kyoto’s Most Haunted Road
A Tunnel with a Dark Past The Kiyotaki Tunnel, an ancient mountain road in the forest of Kyoto, is famous for its spooky atmosphere and ghost stories. The tunnel, built in the latter part of the 1920s and made into a road in 2007, was once part of a train network. Though it just looks like any of the dozens of other ancient passageways across the continent, this tunnel has a dark history that many claim has resulted in the ghosts not quite leaving the establishment.
