Violence in Video Games
I wasn't always into video games when I was a youngster, but when I got older, as I started playing them for the first time, then I saw how addicting it could be, even frustrating as well. I would soon realize that I would go from being competitive to aggressive. In those moments, it felt very stressful. Every time I get stuck or lose on a level, I would go from throwing the game controller at the TV or hitting myself with the controller, which ended up hurting me a lot.

Benefits of Computer Games
Computer games, console games, and internet-hosted games can all have benefits for their users — a statement some might not believe, but let me explain for the doubters. Firstly, I am a middle-aged man who has only recently had access to his first decent console for games playing and only played Facebook-hosted games on the computer. I have, in my time, played numerous arcade-based games, so I know the genesis of many of the more popular console games. Some have been recreated from arcade-based systems or have been developed from similar games.

Hello, and welcome back to Silver Linings where I find the positives in maligned pop culture. This is the second of my lists looking back at the Sega Saturn. When looking at why the Saturn failed like it did, many explanations were brought up. There was the botched early launch that alienated retail channels. There was the fact that the Saturn sold for $100 more than the Playstation and Nintendo 64, a handicap that didn't get reduced until the system was just about dead. There was then-CEO Bernie Stolar's comment that the Saturn wasn't the future of Sega which killed consumer interest after only two years on the market.
