Glass Winter | Chapter VIII
Under torchlight Palina could see all the layered veins of blue and green beneath the thin pearly skin of her hand. She brushed snow kernels off the surface of the ground surrounding the grease cradle, one of the many burning in the commune, and collected the powder into a tusk, which she handed to a builder making his way to the edge of the camp. The others remained to pocket the rest while Palina donned a mitten and proceeded to the cold corner, far from any flame.

Little apple of death
I arrive at the meeting and stand to attention in front of the holographic display module. The room is creamy white and brightly lit. There is a communion ball suspended from the ceiling. Once the door I entered closes, it instantly conceals within its structure. The walls appear soft and padded, but on closer inspection they are in fact spongy, constructed from a white fungal material.

The Conduit: Chapter 18
Chapter 18 The fast attack sub was preparing to detach when Jensen, Han, Max, and the rest of them brought Jane Doe back on board the submarine. Cassian-13: Chapter Links
Author's note: The world was built, but I wasn't exactly sure what story to tell. Then, I wrote Cassian-13: The Turn which opened up many questions. I thought it might be fun to write a longer story one segment at a time and post them in Chapters. And now that I have a vague outline, it's something that might be doable. As I've seen many other creators on here do to keep things organized, this will be where I keep the story together.
