The Bold and the Fabulous . Content Warning.
The art of embracing our true selves is something that we should be doing unapologetically. For yours truly, the journey from hiding the real me to being out and proud was a difficult one. I'm going to share my own personal story and how I'm living my life today as a gay man.

More Thoughts About John Rocker
Last week, MLB announced that it would lift their lifetime baseball bans of the late Pete Rose and 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson, among many others. I shared my opinions about the news in my previous story about this topic, which you can read down below.

My Experiences with the Gay Cosplay Community
10 years of cosplay memories and awesomeness: they'll always hold a special place in my heart forever. I retired from cosplay in October 2024 and over six months after concluding an amazing journey, life has been treating me well so far. In this story, I'll be sharing what it was like being part of the gay cosplay community. I'll start with the bad before I explain the positives of this community.

My Ideal Man
I rarely or if ever divulge details about my love life, but this story is perfect for me to do just that. It's been nearly six years since I was in a long-term relationship and at one point, was engaged to be married. Dating has drastically changed over the years, but as for me, I'm still looking for that special man to spend the rest of my life with. As someone who has Autism, it has been difficult for me find a man to date or be in a relationship with, because some assume that my disability is a burden to them. When they hear the word disability, they assume that they'll be taking care of me forever. Despite my disability, I have a job and live a regular life. So no, I'm NOT a burden. My expectations of finding an ideal partner aren't outrageous or unreasonable. Once you have finished reading this story, you'll know a little bit about the things I expect from a man.

Pet Peeves That Drive Me Up the Wall
Pet peeves: we all have something that annoys us a lot. They don't intend to get on our nerves automatically, but once they do something that irritates us on a regular basis, that's where we have to draw the line. In this story, I'll go over some of my biggest pet peeves that infuriate me. Maybe, you can relate to at least one of all of the following entries.

My Thoughts About the Latest Decision from Major League Baseball
I was scrolling through my phone and thought that the story I ran into was fake. However, after looking into it, sadly, it was true. It was announced by Commissioner Rob Manfred that Pete Rose and 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson's lifetime bans from baseball have officially been lifted. This means that both are eligible to be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Rose had been banned from baseball since 1989 for betting on baseball. Meanwhile, Jackson and seven others were accused of giving away the 1919 World Series.

Tragedy, Tribulations, and Finding Peace Within Myself . Content Warning.
Greetings, Vocal readers. Before I begin, I want to say thanks to the wonderful team on Vocal for selecting my story as on of the Top Stories of May. I'll have a link to that story down below if you would like to read it. For this story, I want to be open and honest about, and in detail, about my devastating lows and numerous suicide attempts. It's an uncomfortable topic to discuss, but I believe by being transparent about what I've gone through mentally, it might encourage someone to seek professional help. In my previous stories on Vocal, I've been frank about my mental health struggles. We should have difficult, yet necessary conversations about mental health. It will show that people are honest and genuine about their feelings. In fact, we should normalize being open about our struggles, not have it suppressed. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in February 2012, but had been experiencing those feelings since I was 19.

My Honest Takes About the Texas Rangers So Far in 2025
*sighs* I don't know where to begin with this. I'm doing my best not to explode, but I need to vent about my team. I know it's only May, but I'm not impressed with how they're performing so far. Last season, they were expected to repeat as World Series Champions. However, they lacked a sense of urgency when they were fighting for a Wild Card spot. Before this season began, Joc Pederson proclaimed that the Rangers were going to win the American League West, which is always going to be competitive every year. Fast forward to this season, their hitting has been dry and falling even further in the AL West standings.

My Thoughts About Bucks County Batman
I know that I'll get some backlash over this, but I don't care. As someone who retired from cosplay last year, I felt like I need to publicly call someone out. Many of you might be familiar with the cosplayer that I'm about to talk about, but if not, stick around because I'll be sharing my two cents about this cosplayer. I retired from cosplay in October 2024 after 10 years, due to me seeking other hobbies, opportunities, and protecting my mental well-being. Just because I'm now a former cosplayer, it doesn't mean that a current cosplayer is exempt from criticism.

My Brutally Honest Thoughts About Barry Bonds
Recently, disgraced former MLB player Barry Bonds accused the league of continuously and repeatedly snubbing him for Hall of Fame consideration. As of 2025, Bonds, now 60, is still ineligible for the Hall, mainly for his use of performance-enhancing drugs during his career. He shared an Instagram post of different athletes who were blackballed from their respective sports. One of them was former San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who was infamous for taking a knee during the National Anthem during games to protest police brutality. In the case of Barry Bonds, he believes that now's the time for him to be in Cooperstown. Major League Baseball is actually doing him a favor by remaining barred from being in the Hall. They're doing it for his own good. He was inducted into the Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Fame last season, alongside former manager Jim Leyland.

My Thoughts About the Texas Rangers' Loss to the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2011 World Series
2011 was a good and bad year for the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The Dallas Mavericks had won their first NBA championship that summer and now, everyone's attention was on the Texas Rangers, because they were headed to the World Series to face the St. Louis Cardinals. Everyone was hopeful that the Rangers would accomplish the second half of two firsts happening in the area in the same year: both teams winning a championship. Unfortunately for the Rangers, this accomplishment fell short.
