Will You Go Where The Angels Dance?
In Loving Memory Of Someone Who Was Truly Special To Me.
I'm told the souls in heaven have wings,
And, that they dance to pour hearts all over
the world,
But;
My heart has been plunged into the darkness
of grief,
I'm told it may never fully heal.
You danced with me throughout life,
Lifted my spirits through childhood,
And showed me the light when darkness
consumed, my adulthood.
Even distance didn't take you away from me,
You danced in my heart,
And in the fire of my soul.
You never stopped being there,
In person,
Or, far away,
I only had to lift my hand to the sky,
And you were always there,
Suddenly;
In the blink of an eye,
You were taken,
And;
I'm sorry for my anger,
Why does God always take those who truly love me
away from me?
One day;
The tears might stop falling,
Though,
I'm not sure that I will ever heal.
There is just one question left to ask;
Will you go where the angels dance?
This is a poem written from my painful heart, as I am grieving the loss of someone who was a much loved Cousin-in-Law to me. Even after he and my cousin went through a divorce, he was always Cousin-in-law to me.
He was also classed as an 'uncle' to me, through childhood and adulthood, because although I never saw him for many years, he remained someone I deeply treasured throughout my whole life.
He was the one who lifted me through all those depressing and hard times I experienced in childhood, teenagehood, and my young adulthood.
He was always dancing. He danced the night away with me on the day I married, and he smiled because he knew that I'd finally found someone who returned my love in many deep ways.
He was the fire, light, love, life and soul of the party.
I only found out the other day about his sad passing, but 'Uncle' Mick will never be forgotten by me, ever.
