Vampires aren’t bats,
That fly in the sky.
They don’t hover above you,
Or shriek in the night.
They aren’t ugly or scary,
Or unpleasant to hold.
They don’t hide in the shadows
Or avoid the sunlight.
Vampires are soft,
They can lull you to sleep.
They follow your footsteps,
And come when you speak.
They sleep in the sunshine,
And hide in your clothes.
They snuggle beside you,
Your love they will hold.
Vampires are sneaky,
They live in your homes.
They don’t need permission,
You brought them home.
And when you’re not looking,
They pull out their claws.
They trip you when walking,
And laugh when you fall.
Vampires aren’t bats,
That hide in the night.
You know them as cats,
And love them first sight.

Funny! Who knew? Glad I don't have a cat now. Sneaky little beggars.

Wonderful poem about bats! Loved it!
Truly enjoyed your observation of Cats. Loved your poem. Although, I will have to disagree with you. My cats are damn Vultures!! Lol...
