TW: Suicide

Oh, little one.

Why did you act so?

Oh, little bird.

Why did you decide to fly

Before your wings soared?

Oh, pretty baby.

Why did you leave all of us

Before your time?

Oh, what woes did you carry,

That the weight became

Too heavy

For you to bear.

What shame, sorrow, guilt did you hold

That you couldn't share with the world?

Answers we will probably never have.

You were too young

To be so responsible

So scared of breaking in front of loved ones

My dear,

If only you would've screamed and shouted

For help,

We wouldn't be wailing at your funeral.

Rest well, dear girl.

Be at peace.
