My Stupid Cat
I shouldn't of done it, but I was mad. Stupid cat. Here's what happened, ok: I caught her sleeping on the back of the sofa and I got an idea. I tiptoed round so so quiet. That's hard you know. And I lay down, real careful, so she wouldn't wake up. I shutted my eyes tight, and I tried to go to sleep. But it wouldn't and it wouldn't and it wouldn't.

The Brain Wash
Why is it, in waiting rooms, you feel too big and too small at the same time? Or is that just me? A nurse popped her head round the door and called my name. Before I stepped through after her, I saw a little boy walk in with his mother. What's he doing here? Too young! I glanced back over my shoulder. In that second, I searched his eyes. Was there something haunting there?

Hello, Tree
Larst week, Daddy took me to the Tree again. I like it there. It's quiet and soft. What I like about the Tree is the pictures. When you get near you start seeing good stuff. In your mind. Beautiful places with all lovely things and people you miss. Like mum.

A Real, Honest to Goodness, Tree
It was grey for a long time. All my life. All da's life. And then, out of the blue, or grey, or whatever, came green. Like in the old stories. We oohed and ahhed over it. Took the kids along of it. And Gramma, too. Wheeled her down there, watched her old face crack and brighten.

Forced Compliance Not Necessary. Top Story - May 2024.
Some people knew this would happen. The chips in our heads, I mean. Everyone laughed. Isn't that funny? The crazy part: even the conspiracy nuts had a mobile phone. Everyone walked around with the "chip" glued to their hand, eyes glued to chip.

Lose-lose. Content Warning.
When I woke up, I tried to put my leg behind my head and lick my arsehole. Again. Don't get me wrong, I was glad to be back in the physical world, where things were solid and mostly made sense. But it felt heavy and weird coming back to this large body after spending so long as a dainty little feline.

Bad Boy. Content Warning.
I don't know what I am. I shake, to get the mad off me. When I've been a good boy, I have two legs and drink coffee. I drive to a tall place made of glass, and nod seriously in a smart suit. The females wear paint, smell strongly like chemicals, touch my elbow, grimace wide and red. I eat dinner at the table. I'm allowed in the bed. She lets me mount her.
